UNIGLAS celebrates its 15-year company anniversary
What started as a vision is now an independent cooperation between family companies with the focus upon insulation glass manufacturing and glass finishing.
Vienna, 24th June 2010: the 31st partner's meeting of UNIGLAS® took place against the background of the company's 15-year anniversary. Founded in 1995 by 12 small to medium-sized companies from the glass industry in Frankfurt/Main, the alliance now includes 26 industrial plants with way over 1,200 employees in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Heinz Schneider, Managing Director of UNIGLAS®: "The early years were characterised by the indefatigable commitment of the founding members. Due to the personal commitment of each individual, we have created an independent alliance that supports us in the core areas of technology, marketing, training and further training and thereby strengthens the competitiveness of all." In the first half of the year, more than 300 employees have benefited from the range of training on offer. For the anniversary year, the alliance has developed a planning guidebook for planners, architects and fabricators: the Technical Compendium with extensive information on insulation glass, special glass and glass finishing. The Internet site has also been reworked as an international web presence. The intensive exchange of experience concerning processing and application techniques shows that there is a strong focus on partnership and cooperation among the UNIGLAS® companies.
The new member companies were convinced of this at the factory tour at Petschenig Glastec in Vienna. For the future, UNIGLAS® is planning to further strengthen the partner companies in competition and to gain selected companies in Europe for the joint mission of independent cooperation for insulation glass manufacturing and glass finishing.
