UNIGLAS, the free and independent cooperation for manufacturers of insulating glass and glass refiners showcase themselves at the Glasstec trade fair in hall 10, stand H 54. In addition to extensive information about insulating glass and glass refining, UNIGLAS® offers new market partners a platform for personal discussion concerning the key areas of marketing, technology, quality assurance and further training. UNIGLAS® | WinUw is one of the latest services for customers of the UNIGLAS® partners. This involves a software solution for the simple and quick evaluation of the thermal transmission coefficient (Uw-value) of windows in accordance with DIN EN ISO 10077-1.
The program offers window builders and facade consultants the possibility to quickly and surely assess the influences of window formats, glass, frame and edge bonds and to recommend rectifications. With UNIGLAS® | WinUw, the customer can choose the most suitable product for his field of application from the UNIGLAS® product range and can maintain the required performance features of the windows or facades. In the process, various parameter such as window size, Uf, Ug, Ψ (Psi), frame width, Ug-value of the UNIGLAS® | TOP energy saving glass and the Psi-values of the various UNIGLAS® edge seal systems are included in the evaluation. The isotherm developments, heat flows and surface temperatures are graphically represented.
With the new edition of the program, there is also a choice between 2- and 3-layer insulating glass, single- and double-leaf windows, horizontal, vertical or cross bars in the space between the panes or pane separating bars. Furthermore, amendments to the Psi-values are possible through entering the actual glass thickness. The handling of the software is very simple. The program can be downloaded free of charge from the website www.uniglas.net/winuw. After successful installation, all configurations can be made quickly and easily. A service which customers of the UNIGLAS®-partners can benefit from extensively.
